WHY JOIN SUMMITPATH?
The cybersecurity sector continues to face a shortage of experienced leaders and career paths often lack training on the skillsets needed to lead. SummitPath is designed to facilitate the transfer of knowledge, strategic foresight, and best practices from seasoned executives to emerging talent and to ensure lessons learned aren’t lost with forward program momentum is carried across generations
HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK?
We start with a structured onboarding process. After you complete the intake form, we will conduct an orientation and a mentor-mentee introduction. Matches will be aided using AI (ConnectIQ) to identify highly compatible pairs based on profile data. Mentor-mentee pairs will establish and manage their ongoing cadence, fostering a flexible yet results-oriented relationship. ISS will monitor the process to confirm the ongoing relationship is providing the intended value to both the Mentor and Mentee.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF SUMMITPATH?
The program follows a “Driver and Guide” model where the Mentee is the driver and the Mentor is the guide. Each cycle will run for 6 months and can be extended at the request of both the Mentor and Mentee. We ask for a minimum commitment of 2-4 hours a month and that each person provide feedback on program and outcomes
Mentors will act as Strategic Advisors, provide Confidential Sounding Boards for the mentee, share experiences and lessons learned and offer a unique opportunities for mentees. Mentors will have the opportunity to give back and shape the next generation, as well as gain fresh insights and diverse perspectives through engagement with the mentee, alent.
Mentees will need to establish and communicate their goals, set agendas for meetings, arrive to meeting prepared, and support the local security community via volunteer work. (ISS, Chapter Board/volunteer positions, etc).
